Course Development Timelines
Policy
  • MOPP C/4 provides the policy for the course and unit development and approval process.
  • MOPP Appendix 10 contains a number of proformas for course and unit documentation.
Course Lists
Current Developments
  • Courses Bulletins are used to provide relevant stakeholders early notice of intention to develop a course.
Curriculum Development
  • The APPU Quick Guide to Course and Unit Development is recommended as a starting point for understanding the committee approval process.
  • Unit Development provides guidelines for the approval of units including instructions for the preparation of unit outlines and the week one unit information document and other resources for unit coordinators.
  • Course Development details processes for the approval of courses including instructions and proformas to be used in the development phase of new and/or revised curriculum. This content is aimed at course developers and coordinators and contains additional resources for those developing transnational (offshore), professional doctorate and higher degree research courses.
Quality Assurance and Reporting
  • QA and Reporting outlines QUT's course quality assurance function and includes guidlines for reporting and other resources. This section also contains an archive of Faculty Academic Program Reports.
Business Systems
  • The Academic Policy and Programs Unit is responsible for the quality assurance of course and unit data on QUT business systems including Callista and the Academic Database.
